Daniel T. McKillop, Counsel and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Cannabis Law practice group and Partner Ramon E. Rivera will be speaking on a panel entitled, “Legalizing Marijuana in New Jersey – What It Means to Your Business”. The panel, hosted by the Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association (NJCIA), will be featuring several experts who will discuss what employers need to know as well as the potential employer concerns that may arise should a recreational use market for marijuana be legalized in New Jersey. This panel is being conducted at a key time as the state is seriously considering the legalization of recreational use and sale of marijuana under the guidance of Governor Phil Murphy’s administration. Therefore, it may be beneficial for employers to attend given the increased likelihood of its legalization and the myriad of concerns that may come with it.

About the Attorneys

Daniel T. McKillop has more than fifteen years of experience representing corporate and individual clients in complex environmental litigations and regulatory proceedings before state and federal courts and environmental agencies arising under numerous state and federal statutes. Ramon Rivera is a Partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck who focuses much of his practice on labor and employment matters in both the public and private sectors on behalf of management. Specifically, Ramon focuses on resolution of employment disputes, collective bargaining, employee grievances, EEOC complaints and other workplace issues. Ramon represents several municipalities as Labor Counsel, wherein he provides legal advice and representation on employment matters, collective bargaining, employee grievances and a multitude of workplace issues.
