201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comJune 23, 2022 – Lyndhurst, NJ – Two law students were welcomed into Scarinci Hollenbeck’s 2022 Summer Associate Program, which began Monday, June 20th. Both students will assist with all aspects of the firm’s practice groups over the course of their 8-week internship They will gain practical experience in a professional environment while helping support the firm’s key practice areas including Public law, Environmental law, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment law, Creditors’ Rights, Business law, Litigation and Real Estate.
“Our summer associates will be afforded broad experiences during their internship which includes participation in court-related appearances, real estate closings and case strategy meetings with our attorneys” shared Robert E. Levy, Partner, Chair of the Litigation Section and Director of the firm’s Summer Associate Program.
The summer associates will provide assistance with case-related research projects which will be assigned by attorneys and practice leaders in the firm. They will also attend weekly practice group informational sessions to learn more about different areas of the law and will be invited to attend various meetings with clients, depositions, hearings, and more.

Emma S. Bekhet is a rising 3L student at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, in Irvine, CA, and serves as the Staff Editor of the UC Irvine Law Review. Emma graduated, magna cum laude, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, in Newark, New Jersey, where she also received the Outstanding Academic Achievement in Law, Technology, and Culture award. Emma’s interests and internships have included intellectual property and technology law. Her legal experience includes serving as a judicial intern to the Hon. Cathy L. Waldor in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. Additionally, Emma is bilingual, speaking both Arabic and English and has interned as a Arabic/English translator on behalf of a Wayne, NJ law firm.
Pearl Eckman is a rising 3L student at Seton Hall University Law School in Newark, New Jersey. Pearl’s interests and coursework have focused on copyright law and trademark analysis. Pearl graduated, summa cum laude, from City College of New York (CUNY) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In addition, Pearl has completed several legal internships on behalf of organizations such as the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, the Orthodox Union, the Israel Law Center, and the District Office of the State Assembly. Pearl has also completed several fellowships including serving as an intern for the Simon Wiesenthal Center and conducting research on the effects of female incarceration for CUNY’s Edward I. Koch fellowship program.
