201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comLyndhurst, New Jersey, January 3, 2018 – Scarinci Hollenbeck attorney and Fairleigh Dickinson professor, Frank L. Brunetti, is proud to announce the publication of his new book, Federal Tax Accounting. Published by Commerce Clearing House (CCH), the extensive text provides guidance on various issues surrounding tax accounting as well as providing an overview of the intricacies involved in the process.
Federal Tax Accounting explores a wide range of tax accounting rules and concepts found in several areas of federal income tax including: adoption and application of methods of accounting, the cash and accrual method, maintaining inventories, uniform capitalization rules, installment sales, and time value of money. The book also provides answers to commonly asked questions pertaining to tax accounting, which continues to evolve even with the new tax legislation.
“Over the years, tax accounting has become increasingly complex and important. Part of what helps tax practitioners of all backgrounds succeed is having a thorough understanding of tax accounting and its constantly changing rules. The goal with Federal Tax Accounting is to provide individuals with a resource designed to help the practitioner analyze and effectively resolve tax-related problems. I feel this book is a step in the right direction for those looking to sharpen and expand their knowledge on tax accounting.” said Brunetti.
Frank L. Brunetti is Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Tax, Trusts & Estates Law Group and has been practicing law for 40 years in the areas of individual and corporate taxation, estate and wealth preservation, tax planning for business entities and a myriad of complex tax matters. Additionally, Mr. Brunetti is a professor of Taxation and Law at Fairleigh Dickinson University (www.fdu.edu/) where he teaches several graduate tax courses and created the Masters of Science in Taxation (MST) program. He is the author of numerous articles and books in the field of income tax and estate planning including Fundamentals of Federal Tax Accounting published by the American Law Institute-American Bar Association.
