201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comNew York, NY – May 31, 2023 – Partner Albert J. Soler has been invited to serve as legal counsel on behalf of the Captain Paul Watson Foundation and Neptune’s Navy. The Foundation actively supports the initiatives of lifetime marine wildlife conservation and renown environmental activist Captain Paul Watson. Mr. Soler was tapped for this role as the Foundation prepares to embark on its anti-whaling mission aboard the John Paul Dejoria.
“Captain Paul has dedicated his life to the preservation of our marine eco-systems and his selfless dedication to the environment is rare and appreciated. It is a pleasure to lend support to the Foundation’s important work and I am inspired by Captain Paul’s and his team’s passion, dedication, and advocacy in these endeavors,” stated Mr. Soler.
Mr. Soler joins an accomplished team at the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, which includes Global CEO Omar Todd, Operations and Campaign Director Locky Maclean, and Chief Compliance Officer Keara McLaughlin. Outside of supporting the Captain Paul Watson Foundation’s mission, the firm is heavily invested in animal rights advocacy and conservation in the tristate area. Managing Partner Donald Scarinci, for example, is an advocate for animal rights and rescue whose legal counsel is sought after in three states. Mr. Scarinci actively works on cases that help push the law forward in how animals are viewed under the law: as family members, not personal property.
The Captain Paul Watson Foundation was established to promote and further the legacy of Mr. Watson and his tireless dedication to our environment and our marine eco-system. The Foundation focuses on, among other things, the protection and conservation of our oceans through direct intervention supported by education, documentation, research activities and partnerships with other NGOs, governments and international institutions such as the United Nations. The Foundation consists of a team of Good Pirates who work tirelessly to further both the efforts and legacy of the Foundation.
