201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comLyndhurst, N.J – January 3, 2017 – Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce the promotions of Charles H. Friedrich, III to Partner and of Roshan Shah to Counsel, effective January 1, 2017. Both attorneys are based in the firm’s Lyndhurst, New Jersey office. The promotions were announced at the firm’s annual holiday party in December.
“Cultivating and promoting the excellent attorneys at Scarinci Hollenbeck is a key component of providing excellent service to our clients,” said Russell Ascher, Executive Director. “These promotions reflect our ongoing investment in our business. Both Charlie and Roshan possess a degree of talent which few other law firms our size can equal. We wish them continued success as Scarinci Hollenbeck continues to grow.”
For more than forty years, Charlie Friedrich, who joined Scarinci Hollenbeck in 2011, has devoted his practice to corporate and commercial law. He refers to himself as an “old fashioned lawyer” who works on a plethora of matters at the firm, concentrating primarily on corporate law. Mr. Friedrich has served as New Jersey counsel to national and local corporations and other business entities, and has been involved in a variety of business ventures and transactions. He is one of the firm’s key players in its sophisticated commercial realty law practice group. In addition, he is frequently called upon to add his expertise to a plethora of matters encompassing several practice areas, including tax matters, appellate cases, and various intellectual property matters. He started his career as Law Secretary to the late Honorable Richard J. Hughes, Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
“Roshan’s extraordinary legal talent which combined with his natural inclination to assist others made his promotion to Counsel an easy choice for the Firm,” said Robert Levy, Partner and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Litigation practice group.
Roshan Shah is a litigator and trial attorney who has successfully tried cases to juries in both federal and state court. He has represented multinational corporations, franchise owners, health care providers, and public sector clients in a wide-range of cases, including products liability, shareholder and commercial disputes, employment discrimination, and constitutional torts under the federal and New Jersey Civil Rights Acts. Mr. Shah has also represented clients before the New Jersey Appellate Division, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and, most recently in Heffernan v. the City of Paterson, et al., the United States Supreme Court. Among his many honors and awards, he was named one of the New Jersey Law Journal’s New Leaders of the Bar for 2016. In 2015, he was awarded the New Jersey Attorney General’s Award for Trial Excellence. “Roshan’s extraordinary legal talent which combined with his natural inclination to assist others made his promotion to Counsel an easy choice for the Firm,” said Robert Levy, Partner and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Litigation practice group.
