On Tuesday, July 31, John G. Geppert, Partner and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Public & Education Law groups, will be presenting a CLE webinar entitled, Youth Sports Liability – A Webinar. The webinar, hosted by NJICLE, will feature Mr. Geppert alongside John C. Macce, Esq. in a discussion covering several topics surrounding youth sports liability. Topics to be explored will include a review of relevant case law, statutory immunities and exceptions, New Jersey concussion law, liability issues for schools, the importance of training trainers and coaches, and more. According to NJICLE, “the program is designed to heighten awareness and sharpen your ability to handle cases involving injuries sustained in a youth sports activity.”

“This webinar is a great opportunity for legal professionals practicing education law to fully prepare themselves for this kind of liability case. Due to the complexity of these cases, it is important that one equips themselves with the right tools to best serve their clients in these matters,” stated Mr. Geppert.

John G. Geppert represents private and public sector clients in labor and employment matters. He has extensive experience representing school boards in all facets of education law. He serves as General Counsel to many boards of education throughout New Jersey. In that capacity, his role includes conducting negotiations with employee associations and collective bargaining units. He also handles all aspects of employee and student disciplinary hearings and participates in all board issues including tenure, HIB, residency, and tuition.

Geppert, Partner and Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Public & Education Law groups, will be presenting a CLE webinar entitled, Youth Sports Liability – A Webinar. The webinar, hosted by NJICLE, will feature Mr. Geppert alongside John C.
