On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Scarinci Hollenbeck Partner Bruce Feffer will participate in a webinar panel entitled, “Justice in Housing: Know Your Rights”. The webinar is sponsored by the NYC Commission on Human Rights, NYC Racial Justice Commission, NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and Rise Now, Inc. Mr. Feffer will be joined by members of each organization in a panel discussion on various topics relating to fair housing and discrimination in NYC real estate markets.  The webinar is free and will be conducted over Zoom.

The New York City Commission on Human Rights is charged with the enforcement of the Human Rights Law, Title 8 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York, and with educating the public and encouraging positive community relations. NYC Racial Justice Commission

The Racial Justice Commission (RJC), formed in 2021, is a charter revision commission tasked with examining structural racism within NYC. The RJC has examined the City’s Charter to identify structural barriers facing Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern and all People of Color (BIPOC*) in NYC and, based on community input, has put forward Ballot Questions aimed at eliminating barriers and promoting racial equity.

Rise Now Inc. is a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization formed to educate and to provide technical assistance and support to low-income individuals, entrepreneurs and small business owners in need of access to affordable capital, culturally-and-linguistically appropriate information, development services, and financial resources in order to navigate and overcome barriers to economic security and success.
