On May 8, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published its Final Rule designating two per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) — perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) — as hazardous substances.
