New York, NY, November 9, 2017Scarinci Hollenbeck  is pleased to announce that David A. Einhorn, Chair of the firm’s Technology Law Group is Editor-in-Chief of the newly revised Third Edition of Intellectual Property Law in Cyberspace. Published by Bloomberg BNA, this valuable treatise provides guidance on IP law issues arising within the shifting frontiers of the internet from a variety of perspectives, addressing trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secret issues. The book explores topics including online navigation tools, posting and using online materials, protecting website elements, and issues arising from conducting business online, as well as the application of traditional IP legal concepts to email, online navigation tools, consumer protection, and virtual property.

“This edition covers the landmark transfer of control over ICANN and corresponding domain name governance issues from oversight by the United States government to oversight by a multi-stakeholder community.  It also covers the unprecedented roll-out of nearly 2000 new generic top level domains and the repercussions of that roll-out on brand owners worldwide,” said Einhorn.

Einhorn has achieved successful results in many prominent and precedent-setting cases in the fields of patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, cybersquatting, trade name misappropriation and insurance coverage. He has also served as arbitrator in over 200 domain name arbitrations and serves as a legal expert on patent licensing issues. In addition to his role as Editor-in-Chief of Intellectual Property Law in Cyberspace, he is also co-author of the multi-volume treatise Patent Licensing Transactions.
