Angela A. Turiano is a member of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s litigation department who primarily focuses her practice on handling securities, regulatory and employment litigation matters.

Angela A. Turiano is a member of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s litigation department who primarily focuses her practice on handling securities, regulatory and employment litigation matters.
Angela routinely represents financial institutions and their representatives and advisors in customer and employment arbitrations and litigation, as well as regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions. Angela also conducts internal investigations and advises clients on how to best limit their financial, regulatory and reputational liability. In this regard, Angela has worked as in-house counsel for two major securities firms, and thus understands, from an internal perspective, the highly specific needs of her clients.
Angela is a practiced trial lawyer who has appeared on behalf of corporate clients in New York federal and state courts and in arbitrations before various self-regulatory organizations. Angela has also represented individuals in both state and federal criminal prosecutions, from inception through trial. Prior to entering private practice, Angela served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted and successfully brought to trial multiple felony cases including Burglary, Narcotics Sale, Robbery and Kidnapping.
Prior to joining Scarinci Hollenbeck, Angela was Principal at a New York-based law firm where she was also a member of its Senior and Vulnerable Investor Group. As part of this group, Angela provided counsel to corporate clients who confronted issues relating to senior and vulnerable investors. Angela also designed and conducted training and supervisory education programs to assist clients in the avoidance of regulatory and litigation risk and revised the internal policies and procedures of clients to ensure compliance with the complex statutory and regulatory network aimed at protecting the senior/vulnerable population.
Outside of her practice, Angela dedicates time to helping advance the practice of law for current and upcoming attorneys. She is an active speaker in the securities community. She has participated in speaking engagements at the New York State Bar Association, the American Conference Institute, the renowned NYU Stern School of Business, all of where she has lectured on the latest trends in securities and related employment litigation. At her clients’ requests, she has also served on panels at client firm roundtables and compliance conferences, as well as participated in mock arbitrations. Angela also helps lead the Women Advocate Section of the ABA through her position as Chief Website Editor.
In addition, Angela partners with corporate clients to provide free legal advice at the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP) small business legal clinic, as well as volunteers annually as a mock arbitrator/trial judge in various law school competitions.
